Life is a journey of learning. Parents and teachers, family and friends, at work and at home, online and in person, we are surrounded by people who help us to grow.

In this series, we’re taking the opportunity to sit at the feet of the greatest teacher of them all, Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 5-7, Jesus sits down and teaches his disciples. These words, known as the Sermon on the Mount, have been admired by many, even those who don’t follow Jesus. There’s a simple beauty to his teaching. As we read through, a sense that, if only we could live like this, life would be so much better.

Yet, these words are more than that. Here is the master teaching his followers what it means to live before God. Here is Jesus exposing our hearts and showing us our need of him. Here is God’s Son teaching us the things that matter most.
