On Monday 16th March the government strongly advised people to minimise unnecessary contact with others, in particular larger gathers. Later in the evening it was clarified that this included church services. In the light of this advice and our concern for public health we decided to cancel all of our church activities.
Now that the initial lockdown restrictions have been listed we are slowly beginning to restart our Sunday services in a Covid secure way. For more information on the measures we are putting in place please see the Meeting in a safe way page.
We would ask that you do not attend if you have any Covid-19 symptoms: a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
Here is a summary of the decisions we’ve taken:
- From August 2nd we will have a short Sunday evening communion service. This will be held at 6:30pm at the church building.
- From Sunday 6th September we will replace our YouTube playlist service with a live streamed service, broadcast from our church building. More details will follow on this.
- During August we will be putting together a service playlist that will be available from our church YouTube channel with the audio for the Bible message available on the sermon page of this site.
- At the moment we do not know when we will be able to restart any of our midweek groups and clubs.
We continue to look to God to help us through this difficult time.
